O'Donovan's Dental Surgery is a family run dental practice that has been established for over 45+ years on Griffith Ave in Dublin 9. We aim to provide the highest standard of dental care in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are proud of our good reputation and our long tradition of treating generations of families. We are committed to delivering the most up to date treatments and are focused on achieving and maintaining long term dental health for our patients.

Joe O'Donovan
Dentist

Joe O’Donovan

Joe qualified with a honours degree with distiction from the University of Liverpool in 2006, winning the award for best student in Orthodontics and Dental technology.
Joe gained his M.F.D.S from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. He worked in the UK for 8 years before returning home to Dublin in 2014. Joe has completed the post graduate diploma in conscious sedation from Trinity College.
Joe has a passion for further learning and regularly attends courses across Europe. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis and running.

Laosie Ryan

Laosie Ryan

Dr Laoise Ryan B.A., B.Dent.Sc.(Hons) graduated from Trinity College Dublin and was awarded an Entrance Exhibition Scholarship. Laoise's passion lies in providing individualized and patient-centered treatments to all her patients. Laoise is dedicated to creating a relaxed environment for adults and children. Laoise is committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements and continuously enriches her knowledge and skills by pursuing courses in composite bonding, general dentistry and conscious sedation. She has completed the Diploma of Primary Care dental exams with the Royal College of Surgeons.
When not practicing dentistry Laoise can be found playing tennis in the local Glasnevin tennis club or training for an upcoming triathlon!

Dillon Finn
Hygienist

Dillon Finn

Dillon graduated with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 2019 and is a registered Dental Hygienist with the Dental Council of Ireland. He joined O'Donovan Dental the same year and has since enjoyed helping patients achieve healthier smiles through preventative care and personalised oral health advice.
Dillon believes that good oral health starts with understanding each patient's individual needs and helping them build habits that work for their lifestyle. He takes pride in creating a friendly and relaxed environment, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
Outside of dentistry, Dillon enjoys keeping fit, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Julie

Julie, our head receptionist has worked at O'Donovan's for over 20 years. Julie is a qualified and registered dental nurse and is happy to provide assistance and advice.
